Let’s goooo – I’ve spent the last few weeks on a 4 part Barrier / Critical Control YouTube series.

It draws on multiple sources including ICMM, CSRA, IOGP, CIEHF & more, and really sucked to produce. So hope it’s interesting.

Part 3 – Human Factors and Human Performance in Barrier and Control Systems

Human barriers, Detect–Decide–Act, human performance standards, safety-critical task analysis and learning from normal work.

Part 4 – A Critical View of Barriers, Work and Human Performance

What barrier models simplify or leave out, including work-as-done, adaptation, hindsight and the relationship between critical-control management, Safety-II and HOP.
